Photos ~ Can you believe I’m back already! Looks like I my mojo is resurfacing after all this time of being somewhere in limbo. It’s been a busy week here with home schooling Master 9, changing websites for my store and the usual running a house business that there is to do, plus I’m working on another revamping project that I’ll share next week.

Today however I wanted to bring back something that I used to love doing once upon a time on my old blog, sharing photos. I used to share every Friday (hence Fridays Photography) some pictures I’d taken during the week and I really loved it as it was always one of my favourite posts to do. It also gives me an excuse to get out of the house and go exploring to find some amazing pictures to snap. These days I think most of us take our pictures with our mobile phones and while I’ve captured some great pics with my phone I’m really wanting to learn to use my Canon DSLR camera properly to catch those images you just don’t seem to be able to get with a phone. Besides I’ve always had a love of photography and have decided that this is the year I’m going to work on my camera skills and remember to take it with me where ever we go.

For today I thought I’d shar some great pictures I’ve captured in the garden over the last few month using just my Samsung 9+ phone. I thought these pictures came out very well myself and I’d love to know your thoughts too.

One of my favourite shots of broccoli growing in the potager
Blue Banded Bee looking for breakfast
Morning breakfast thanks to my girls
Nothing lovelier than finding ladybugs in the garden
A Hoverfly on a cornflower. Needed patience to get this pic as hoverfly’s don’t stay still for long.
Shells from our favourite beach. We forgot the bucket so my hat came in handy to carry them in
One of my most favourite pictures taken at Long Pool in Collie. When I initially took this picture I couldn’t see my screen on my phone too well and didn’t realize just how well the reflection of the trees in the water came out. Needless to say I was quite happy with it when I got home and could get a better look at it.

So there you have it, a few of my fave pics using just my phone. I know the tech in phones gets better and better all the time but for me there is something about holding a camera, looking through the view finder and pressing the button to capture something amazing. I even miss the days of film believe it or not but as it happens I have my Dads old Yashica film camera here so I’m going to play with it and see how I go. I think the interesting thing will be trying to remember that I can’t view a picture once I’ve taken it, so lets hope I get a good shot the first time.

If you love photography too then I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below or even visit your blog, so feel free to point me to where you’re at. Well that’s all I have time for today as I’ve a long to do list to get through. Take care and I’ll catch you again soon.

A bientot….Michelle x

Well I will admit while I do grow sunflowers for their gorgeousness I also do grow them so the parrots have something to eat and it detracts them from eating other veggies in my garden 🙂

I wish parrots would come to my garden! I even have a birdbath but no luck there! Silly things!

Grow some sunflowers and you’ll have plenty of parrots come visit 🙂
