Big News ~ Bonjour and welcome back, so good to have you here. Well I was getting on a roll last week and then we got some news that has set my goal of French Cooking back and has me completely distracted. So if you didn’t see my post on 52 Weeks Of French Cooking, I had planned to spend the next year jazzing things up at meal times and cooking some delish French meals one or two times a week….for more info, check out the post. However, it looks like I’ll be putting that on hold for a couple of months because as I said we got some big news from our landlord last week. It turns out he will be selling the house and therefore won’t be renewing our lease! This wasn’t a complete shock as we thought this is what was going to happen but it’s now left us with ten weeks to pack the house, restore the gardens and find somewhere else to live!
It sounds a lot I know but believe it or not since we received the news last Wednesday I have already packed half the house, rehomed our girls Leia and Karen (our chickens), sold their house, pulled down the potager, sold some plants and sold household items we wont be taking with us. I simply don’t believe in wasting time when we have to be out by the 2nd June. There’s still plenty to do and sell but I have no doubt we’ll get it done in plenty of time.
We will be relocating back to the city but maybe on the outskirts of the city so Francis can still have somewhat of a quietish lifestyle. I’ve been out of the city for 12 years and honestly I don’t know how I’m going to go living back amongst so much noise and chaos. I know I complain at times about where we are being super busy and loud but compared to the city it’s super quiet.
So for a while there won’t be any posts on the potager as it’s already been pulled down and I handed back my key to the community garden on Monday. I will absolutely be looking for a new community garden to join when I get to the city as I simply enjoy it too much not to grow my own veg.
I also realized today that with the news of moving last week and the onslaught of packing that followed, that I completely forgot all about my Fridays Photogrpahy post, so stay tuned as I’ll have one up in time for this weeks post. But for today I’ll simply share one of my all time not half bad favourite pictures.

À bientôt....Michelle x
